: I’ll most likely are ideology causing the sensation you were describing is gastroesophageal reflux disease where are you might be refluxing ass into the esophagus and quickly college region. The other possible radiology is an anxiety type reaction where you might have the same sensation. If the situation for sis direct visualization by your gastroenterologist is indicated

Inflammation: Calcifications of the thyroid typically coincide with nodules and occur because of inflammation or cancer.  You should see a specialist, like an endocrinologist, to better determine the cause.

The : The thyroid gland should still work fine after this trauma. You can get blood tests to check it out. If your levels are off, low, you will need thyroid hormone supplement, a pill. I doubt that the strangling itself would cause hypothyroidism. You may have hashimoto thyroiditis which is not related to your trauma. Perhaps thyroid conditions run in your family.

Depends: It depends in part in what you mean.  Some people have a congenital fusion of two cervical vertebrae, which usually does not cause symptoms.  Others may have a loss in cartilage secondary to degeneration and can have neck and arm pain and headaches.

will 3t mri be more effective in finding cartilage inflammation in chest and neck, or am i fine with 1.5 t? any considerable differences? any safety concerns between 1.5 t  and 3t?

Both: Both are fine. The 3t is a stronger magnet and does produce more high resolution images with  greater detail, but a 1.5t magnet is usually perfectly capable of producing good images for such studies. Some patients have reported strage sensations or even hallucinations in 3t magnets, but this is very rare.

Could be cyst: This could be a sebaceous cyst. These
can usually be moved. If it is very hard
and immobile, you should have it checked by your physician.

Bony lump: It is difficult to know where this is situated. Also has it been there from birth? A lymphoma comes from a lymph node and is not bony and grows bigger. There are remnants of development called Branchial cleft cysts. An ultrasound may help to sort this out. Also get your doctors opinion. All the best getting the problem resolved.

Neither: A lump in neck is neither cartilage (which, in the neck, is always connected to bone) nor vein (which does not form lumps). The only way to diagnose what it is is to have a doctor feel it.
