Middle ear vs canal: The outer ear canal ends at a thin membrane that divides your inner ear from your canal. It is possible that the sensations may be due to inner ear problems instead of canal problems. If you develop a fever, ear pain, or diminished hearing, please have a dr look in your ear. They can see not only the canal, but through the membrane into the inner ear.

i have like a circle shape of redness on the right side of my head. just above my ear. it doesn't itch, or hurt, and it's not really bumpy. what is it?

Don't know: Can’t diagnose with available information. Examination, history &amp; possibly other testing would be needed to make an accurate diagnosis. Treatment would be dictated by diagnosis.

Any : Any lumps or bumps that cause pain or progress need evaluation by a qualified physcian. It may very well be nothing, but may also require a biopsy. See a physician with some expertise in this area.

Nickel allergy: Many people have sensitivity or allergy to nickel to varying severity.  Very allergic ppl may even note red circles inside belt line from jeans pegs/ buttons (helped w layers of clear nail polish), but many jewelry pieces contain nickel (even "stainless steel" labeled).  With wear, sweat and body can cause the outer layer to come off exposing the nickel so body reacts: often pain, red, even pus.

Have it looked at: It's hard to tell without seeing it what bit you. It's unlikely that it was a spider (or at least a venomous one) because spider bites are typically painful. I would recommend to go to your doctor to have it looked at . If you live in a wooded area where you could've gotten bitten by a tick, bloodwork should be done to rule out lyme disease. Good luck!

Need more info: Redness is one sign of an inflammatory process, and this can be due to trauma, changes in circulation and a wide variety of other factors. You do not even indicate what portion of the ear is red. Communicate with the doctor who told you this. Patient education is one aspect of their responsibility.

Mixed infection: Sounds like you have an ear infection.
The dizziess goes along with an inner and middle ear infection, the red warm  ear with an external ear infection. Do you swim? Ottitis externa is more common with swimming. 
YOu may also have a viral infection go to the doctor

i have for 3 days now a little bump/pimple in my right ear the concha cympa and it hurts when i touch that part and behind my ear. my ear is red but not swollen. ive never had this before what could this be? should i wait a few more days ? thanku?

: Redness, if not caused by irritation or trauma, is a sign of cellulitis which is a bacterial infection requiring systemic antibiotics, either intravenously or orally. Get examined by a physician ASAP.for accurate diagnosis and proper treatment &amp; follow-up.

i have had a sinus infection for a while i have been on three different antibiotics and now my ear is red to and hurting i still have the infection and the sinus pressure and the terrible headache what can i do  i am miserable

Sinus infections: I am sorry you are so miserable.  I am wondering if you have had a CT scan of your sinuses at this point. Sometimes it is very difficult to get antibiotics into some of the sinuses and surgery may be required.  If you haven't been to an ENT yet I would suggest that is the next step.  Although I wouldn't wish surgery on anyone, because I have had it, you may need it.  Good luck.

Red ear: If outer ear is the site, then cartilage inflammation may be the cause. This can be an autoimmune problem.
