Take pregnancy test: If you are having pain and abnormal bleeding, it can be a sign of early pregnancy and sometimes the pregnancy is not in the uterus but outside and is very dangergous.  If your pregnancy test is positive you should get in to see a health care provider to find out why your are cramping and bleeding.

If pregnancy test is negative, your period may just be coming a bit late.

If unprotected: certainly do a home pregnancy test. It is time for definitive BC , I advise condoms PLUS spermicidal foam, gel, inserts or BC pills. Please consult your GYN for an exam.

Not unusual: Since you are only just over 2 weeks out from the miscarriage, this is probably withdrawal bleeding from a change in hormones. It is important to follow up and make sure the pregnancy hormone level becomes negative. Otherwise , you don't need to worry unless bleeding or pain increases significantly.

Cramps before period: Cramps before period might mean that your period will come soon - if you don't get a period you should consider doing a pregnancy test - if negative repeat in a few days and if still negative and no period, you probably had an off cycle. If you are young and healthy and sexually active you will probably become pregnant unless you use birth control. I have too little information to tell you more.

i had a tubual ligation the day after the birth of my son in january 2013. today im three days late slight cramps no period. im 26. is there any chance of pregnancy? we have been praying for the possibility of another child!

Small chance: Tubal ligation does have a small failure rate so there is a small chance you are pregnant. Unfortunately many of the pregnancies that occur after BTL are ectopic ( tubal) pregnancies. You should check a pregnancy test and see your doctor if it is positive or if you develop any pain.

Irregular periods : Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.
