No: No, I would not expect intercourse to cause cramping. Having intercourse soon after finishing your menses also could not cause cramps. I suggest being seen to determine of there is another reason for cramping, such as an ovarian cyst or pelvic infection.

Cycle changes: may be due to hormonal fluctuations which will also cause the cramping. I suggest a GYN evalaution. You can use Advilor Aleve (naproxen) for cramping and bleeding until seen by your GYN. If sexually active, get a pregnancy test.

See gynecologist: Cramping and bleeding at the end of a menses may well indicate endometriosis or an infection or perhaps a cyst.  See you gynecologist.

Perhaps: It could be ovulation (egg release) if so, the bleeding will end quickly and usually not recur. If it happens freequently or erratically, exam would be appropriate.

Occasional : Spotting can occur as a variation in many women's menstrual cycle.  There are also several alternate explanations, but would wait and see if it improves.  If not, see an ob/gyn doctor and get examined.  Your husband being 'fixed' is not necessarily a guarantee that it worked 100%.

Infection?: Consider the possibility of a retained tampon.  I see this often!  You can check yourself manually and, if a tampon is stuck in there, you might be able to remove it yourself.  My other concern is a pelvic infection--this requires prompt evaluation &amp; treatment.  Regardless, persistent pain and/or discharge requires medical attention.

Hormones: You most likely don't have enuf progesterone. See a doctor specializing in bhrt and check pelvic ultrasound.

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation.

Could be: Typically you start ovulating again 2-4 weeks after a termination.  If you had unprotected sex after the termination the bleeding in let September could have also been implantation bleeding and you could be pregnant again.  Ovulation pain usually lasts 1-3 days and is usually more one sided in your pelvis, starts as a sharp pain then is more cramping.

Oral bc spotting: Today's bcp's are very low dose, and require taking them punctually or breakthrough bleeding will occur. If the bleeding continues, stop the pill, wait for five days, and start a new package.  Take the pill within the hour (in the evening) when you took yesterdays pill to prevent irregular bleeding as you describe. You should get a serum pregnancy test (HCG) to be sure you are not pregnant.
