Cracking: Do you mean the sound a joint makes when you bend it a certain way ? That has nothing to do with growth .  At age 49 your neck stopped growing a long time ago .

Several reasons: It may be the way you are built or that your musculature is just tight.  Cracking noise or sensation can be from several origins ranging from the small joints of your back "popping" like the cracking of your knuckles to tight soft tissue structures giving the same sensation when stretched or moving over one another or another musculoskeletal structure.  It is not a pathologic or bad thing.

Damage to nail root: Previous injury to the nail root will cause portions of the nail plate to be thinner and weaker is one reason, and damage to the nail root and plate from fungal infection are two likely ways this happened to you. There are several treatments that may help.

: See a Dr and find out what is going on. Fungus? Do you wear rubber gloves and boots at work?   Are your hands wet most of day at work. Do you your feet sweat a lot?  Keep notes and see your Dr.

Cracked peeling skin: The cracked, dry, peeling skin most likely due to athlete's foot and not related to scabies infestation.  There are several over the counter anti-fungal preparations that can be used to treat the feet.

Sounds like nerve: Most likely condition would be a pinched nerve.  The nerves that supply the feet stem from nerve branches traveling from the leg.  The "pinch" could be from the back at its root, but it an also be locally due to musculature.  Another thing to be checked is circulation because if blood flow is hampered to a an area, it can cause pain and reduce function in the nerves.  Get checked properly.

i have some kind of foot fungus it causes daily pain cracked heels and fissures on the bottom of my feet.  what would be prescribed? nystatin cream?

May not be fungus: There are several causes of dry and cracked heels, including fungus.  However, dysfunctional glands in the skin can cause it as well and is in fact a more common cause.  There are many prescription creams to help with dry and cracked heels, including antifungal medications if it is caused by fungus.

Fissures: Clean the area and apply neomycin cream twice a day for a week.
