Usually not: Hpv usually doesn't alter fertility, except when the cervix has had procedures done to it which may effect mucous production.

Same as without HPV: A woman&#x27;s chances of getting pregnant are the same, with or without HPV. Human papilloma virus causes warts, which can lead to cancers in places like the cervix and the anus, but HPV does not change a woman&#x27;s fertility. However, if a woman has HPV and decides to have less sexual activity because she feels she is spreading virus, she will be less likely to get pregnant (due to less sex activity).

if  you have had three abortions and they all went well but now i have a slight case of the hpv will i have a hard time getting pregnant later on?

Risk higher: Every time you have an abortion there is slight increase in risk to future pregnancies - not so much in conception as in risk of prematurity. Another reason that pregnancy prevention is preferred over abortion.  The HPV shouldn't have much effect. 80-90% of cases of HPV are spontaneously cleared by the body anyway.

i have hpv- cin3, after 6yr of clean paps. we were trying to conceive when i got this diagnosis. do i need a cone biopsy instead of getting pregnant?

Follow dr's advice: CIN3 is the equivalent of the first stage of cancer. I would think that treating it should take precedence over conception and pregnancy. However, it may be possible and safe to do both. This is something to discuss in detail with your gynecologist. Good luck on both fronts.

can i have morning after pill if i wish to get pregnant in the next 3 or 4 months? will it affect my chances of getting pregnant then? i cant get pregnant at the moment as i have to undergo pre conception screening and get a few vaccinations.

Delayed period: could be an effect of the morning after pill, or later ovulation.  Recheck pregnancy test if no period in one week. See your doctor if cycle become irregular.

Possible: If your last depo was a year ago it likely provides no protection at all. Any secretions from an erect penis have sperm and can get you pregnant whether he "gets off" or not. The pull out method is the same as no method.

See below: Chances of getting pregnant certainly are much greater if ejaculation occurred, especially if around your mid-cycle "fertile window" with ovulation. Also, sometimes men ejaculate semen/sperm without being aware of it. As for "pre-cum", in some men it has been shown to contain viable sperm and, even though in smaller concentrations than in a normal ejaculate, the potential for impregnation exists.

my 19yo daughter is concerned about getting the covid vaccine & now is being required to get it for college. are there concerns that it could cause fertility issues when she tries to get pregnant someday? could it lessen chances of getting pregnant?

: This question has been asked by many women, &amp; the complete answer is not out yet because the vaccines are new. However, the evidence at this point does not show fertility issues with the Covid vaccine, whereas there may be fertility issues for both men &amp; women who get COVID infection itself.  It is a difficult situation for young people to make these decisions!

Accepted Answer

Very unlikely: It is exceptionally unlikely that that alone would lead to a pregnancy.  If, however, you are having sex without protection and pull out before ejaculation then prenancy could be very likely.  Bleeding abnormalities are common and may or may not be related to a pregnancy.  You should of course check a pregnancy test.
