feel like when i go through anxiety/stress my usually well behaved stomach causes me for past month to start burping alot, feel like food moves slowly down my throat, random pit of stomach pain, stool amount changes/bm's less frequent. no bloody bm. ?

For some people -: the GI tract can be quite reaction to stress. Please work on reducing stress/ anxiety. Talking therapy ranks really high. Cognitive Behavioral therapy or psychotherapy can be effective. Aim for daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep per night &amp; good nutrition w 5 servings of veggies &amp; 4 of fruit per day. Try tai chi, yoga, Qi Gong, progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing exercises &amp; meditation.

nausea, burps, bloated feeling, soft stool- are these stress related symptoms?

Accepted Answer

Stress: Yes these can be stress related symptoms but could also represent a multitude of other things.  It could simply be something in your diet, a mild case of a viral illness, irritable bowel, etc.  Usually i advise to wait a day or so and see how your symptoms are.  Eat a bland diet and notify your doctor if you are unable to eat or drink for more than 12-24 hours.

i'm 30. ibs-c diagnosed younger. feeling stressed lately. i have achy right abdomen pain, not constant. feces vary in color & shape, lately greenish yellow brown hue. burping often.  no diarrhea.  causes?

R abd pain: Could be IBS, or gastritis with or without  H pylori gallbladder , food intolerances, if upper abdomen or ileitis, appendicitis if lower abdomen ( usually constant)  The stool color is no that unusual green is the color of bile F/u/ w/ doc / urgent care (today if right lower abdominal pain) .

: Anxiety and stress can cause     loose stools and diarrhea. Floating stools can also occur but the floating  is from a high fiber diet and gas. See your doctor for exam and treatment.

Accepted Answer

No: Stool color is normally borown and consisgtency is usually solid. Floating stool can indicate a bit of fat in your dieatary intake, it isw not a disease state, simply cut down on fried, greasy or fatty foods and add fresh fruit and veggies to your diet- should help.

: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. See your PCP.: You have symptoms of severe anxiety but to ease your mind, visit your pcp to be properly checked out.

Yes: These symptoms may be caused by anxiety or stress. Try a light diet. Also try not to force yourself to burp as this only causes you to swallow more air and cause more belching. Instead eat a fat free,light diet and take mylanta after meals to prevent gas buildup.Drinking flat ginger ale helps settle your stomach. See your MD if symptoms persist.

See below: Bloating is a sign of several diseases, such as gastritis, reflux disease,  ibs, celiac, etc. Pls see your dr for complete evaluation to find out what is causing your symptoms.  Good luck.
