Cancer? See doc: I don't understand how you produce phlegm without coughing. Is this post-nasal drip which you spit out? In any case, that's a worrisome symptom, and cancer is on the list of possibilities. You should see a physician promptly.

Mgt.: Please see your PCP right away. The source of the bleeding should be determined. Sometimes there is nasal bleeding and this can be one source.  You may have an infection. and other causes can be evaluated.

See a doctor: With these sorts of symptoms, you need answers. I would worry that your platelet count might have dropped as a result of the viral infection - allowing the blood to become thinner, such that you'd have nose bleeding and blood in the sputum. Hopefully you're plugged into an Ob/Gyn practice - I would call them and try to get seen today. If it's after hours and you're not doing well- go to the ER.

Bronchitis: Blood tinged mucus or sputum is often due to an infection in sinus or lungs.  Many of us treat, unless bloody nose from blowing too much. Most of us will treat with antibiotics if it happens for more than 3 days.  There are other causes, too, but it's a GREAT idea to get checked soon. In the meantime, avoid otc cough and cold meds, and fragrances and aerosols (which don't help, can make worse)

Yes: You should probably see a doctor asap, since sinus infections (if that is what you have) can morph into severe complications, but you might first try sinus irrigation (netti-pot), and decongestant.  When you go to the doctor have a list prepared of all the things which have happened and trust they will work things out for you. Do not know if this is serious without seeing you.

Commonly, infection: Infection such as bronchitis, is the most common cause of blood tinged sputum. However, if this persist , other conditions such as tuberculosis, abscess, cancer, abnormal blood vessels, blood clots, fungal disease may be present. If it doesn't stop on its own, seek medical attention.

But it's always a good idea to go see your family doc for an evaluation as there are too many causes to review ; consider w/more information ; examination.

Bronchitis?: This may be bronchitis, but since it has lasted so long you need to be checked to see if you have something more serious, like pneumonia or tuberculosis. See a doctor about this.  Good luck!

hi. i saw 20% of blood to my phlegm in my 1st cough but theres nothing already on my 2nd and 3rd but just phlegm again. whats wrong maybe?

Unclear: It is not clear but hemoptysis is not good. Need to see why this is occuring .  Might have a serious chest infection or could come from nose. Please seek care and for sure get a chest xray. Need to get dx for sure and may require more than simple treatment.
