Rhinitis: You have a post nasal drip which is making you cough. Use saline nose drops to help your drip. Also breath in steam from hot showers to give you relief from your nasal congestion. Use a vaporizer and sleep on several pillows.

Bubbly feeling: I feel that mucus in the trachea or bronchial tubes can cause that sensation. Your asthma may be acting up. Drink plenty of water,use your inhalers including one with corticosteroid,if you have one. If sputum becomes copious and discolored, oral antibiotics are advisable. Stress management therapy would help you. Discuss these issues with your physician who may want to examine you.
