Mgt: I would recommend that you see your PCP. Some possible causes include bronchitis, pneumonia and reactivity of the airway. Please avoid smoke exposure, stay well hydrated and monitor your temperature.

i had a cold 2 weeks ago. i wasnt exposed to covid but i am on my second bottle of cough medicine and i cant shake the cough two weeks later. should i see a doctor? 
i dont feel sick at all, no fever, no shortness of breath.

Yes , speak to PCP: It might be worth a corona virus test to see if that might have been your recent illness of confirm that you are negative

my 2.5 year old daughter often has a lingering cough 2 weeks after a cold.  can i give her cough medication if yes which one?  we just give her honey

No cough medicine: It's not uncommon to have a lingering cough for a long time after a cold, as long as she feels well and eats and has normal activities. If she takes a turn for the worse, then she should see the doctor. Pediatricians don't recommend cough medicine in children less than 4 any longer. Lemon, honey tea is ok, vaporub on the chest is ok, using a humidifier in her bedroom when she sleeps may help.

i have had started with just a bout of flu 3 weeks ago which then worsened to coughing 2 weeks ago, went to the doctor 4 days ago he said i have flu and gave me pills and cough syrup and they are not working instead i cough a lot more now?

Get examined: Have a chest x-ray to be checked for lung infection . Ask your dr if s/he would recommend antibiotics. Take some otc cough meds/ Mucinex (guaifenesin) or Robitussin dm.Take vitamin c and eat lots of fruits and veggies to boost your immune system. Hope u feel better and take care!

Stept throat: The most likely thing is that  you did not have strept throat unless a culture was done. It is was a strept throat You probably have a viral problem that takes bout 2-3 weeks to get better if you take antibiotics or 13-21 days if you don't. Have others at your work/school had similar problems? Good discussion at Wikipedia for more info. Amox is not drug of choice in US.
