See your doctor: Contrary to your assertion, pain in the back is not a symptom of oral herpetic infection. My advice would be to visit your medical doctor for diagnostic assessment. Although back pain is sometimes due to muscle spasm, it can also be a result of other disorders, some of them serious, including referred pain from digestive tract or kidney disease.

i have long standing uneven swollen left parotid. new symptoms. swelling is near my temple & on cheekbone. numb lips sometimes chin. my mouth feel puffed with cotton wool. speaking movement slight changes uneven. no tumour. what could it be lymphoma?

Many possible causes: There is a well known medical condition called sicca syndrome resulting in dry mucus membranes( mouth,eyes,rectum,etc) and is easily screened for by an Opthalmologist.Other possible causes can be medications,nasal obstruction resulting in mouth breathing.Lips can get dry,chapped from unconscious licking of the lips.

Not Enough Water: When you workout, your body overheats and cools itself by sweating.  This causes your body to lose water very quickly which causes your saliva to thicken.  Make sure between reps to drink water in order to replenish what you lose.  This will help with 'cotton mouth' and the stringy spit.
