: If the "unprotected sex" o 0130/22 was the only exposure to possible pregnancy, unless your cycles are 26-28 days apart,  with ovulation occurring 14 days prior to your next expected period, pregnancy is unlikely.  If your period is delayd, obtain a serum HC test when you are five days "late" , to be certain about pregnancy.

As : As doctors, anytime a fertile, sexually active woman has an abnormally light or missed period, the first thing we do is rule out pregnancy.  You can either take a home pregnancy test as long as it has been 5 to 6 weeks since your last normal period, or you can go see your doctor or a planned parenthood in your area and they can test you even earlier. Other than taking a pregnancy test, there's no way to know whether you are pregnant or not. It is always better to be safe than sorry and to know sooner rather than later.  Whether you are pregnant or not, if you are having sex and do not want to be a parent yet, you should talk to a healthcare provider about birth control.  In the meantime, you need to use condoms every time you have sex.  "pulling out" is not an effective method since there are sperm released before your boyfriend has an orgams which can get you pregnant.

Irregular periods: Irregular periods are very common. If you normally have regular periods and then suddenly have one that is early or late this usually gets better on its own with cycles returning to normal over the next few months.  If you are not wanting to be pregnant you should discuss birth control which will also help with cycle control. A negative test means you are not pregnant
