hi, i have this painful pulling sensation in my right lower abdomen accompanied by back pain, it comes and goes almost like contractions, what could it be ?

Persist-see GI: The lower right part of your abdomen is home to part of your colon and, for some women, the right ovary. There are many conditions that can cause you to feel mild to severe discomfort in your right abdominal region. Appendicitis is a common cause of pain specifically in the lower right abdomen.
But if you’re experiencing persistent discomfort, you should see a GI MD.

Lumbar strain: more than likely this is just a strain but since it is now the second time I would recommend you go to spine specialist to be evaluated

Depends : Did you have any trauma?  You really need to see your doctor fro good exam. Sound like you could have pulled or strained. Good area for a hernia. Need more details please

Abdominal pain: The most likely reason for your pain is bowel/GI in origin. Speak to your primary about your symptoms and obtain a possible referral to a gastroenterologist.

No: This is normal when the baby&#x27;s head engages. Mild contractions are also normal. These are not related to labor.

May be normal: THis may simply be a normal artery like the aorta . This can be felt in thin people or in those without thick or big  abdominal muscles. If you are concerned see a doctor, certainly see one if there is any pain associated. A simple ultrasound can give you the annswer

Iliac tortuosity : Buzzing suggests turbulence, but of what?  Blood flow turbulence called a bruit creates a "buzz."  tortuosity or aneurysmal dilation of the pelvic arteries (iliac) may create said audible buzzing.  Ct abdomen/pelvis would rule out said issues... But have an md auscultate your abdomen...

: It might be muscular. If no other symptoms nothing needs to be done. if it persists then you will need to be examined. i think you will be OK

Could be gas: Most likely spasm as gas passing through, maybe even kidney/ureteral stone.
 Pain?  Bleeding? Fever?  Duration? Bowel habit? Urinary issues? Back pain? Constant or comes and goes?
Other factors like previous surgery, inflammatory/gyn issues could lead to adhesions(internal scars) which can cause issues.  Hernias?
Ongoing, acute, above factors, or other issues- see your doc.

menopausal. spotting for a wk - sometimes enough to need a pad. today, heavy feeling in lower abdomen?
