Absolutely: Thousands of real scientists make careers out of separating the ones that do from the ones that don't. Almost all the "pop" scares are unfounded, but regrettably there have been some sad cases, especially in industry. The real ones cause a tremendous increase in one particular (usually exotic) type of cancer.

Unlikely: The air you breathe and the water you drink has chemicals that can cause cancer.
The chemicals in your headphones are not going to jump out of the device.
Be reasonable.
Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. 
Get HPV vaccine

This is synthetic rubber

The EPA classifies Chloroprene as a group D chemical
this makes its carcinogenicity inconclusive
The International agency for Research on cancer IARC classified it as group 2 B ( possibly carcinogenic)
This is likely to occur mainly as industrial exposure and may be linked to skin and lung cancers

No: Many causes of cancer have been looked into and in some reports chronic coffee users have been said to have a higher incidence of malignancies such as pancreas cancer.  
This has not held up.  Whether the artificial  sweeteners used with coffee induce cancer is also questionable.

Throw out: If you are convinced by information about certain foods that have incorporated cancer causing chemicals, then discard them, do not buy them again and read labels carefully in the store.  Most foods are carefully regulated and true cancer causing chemicals are mostly not allowed in food sold in usa stores.

: I consider this prop a silly over reach of the nanny state. Yes chemicals are contained in the now stable coatings used to make the guitar. If you inhaled those chemicals while they were part of a fresh coating it might be an issue. If you consumed those chemicals or painted them on your skin it might. The chance of stable coatings on a finished product harming you approach zero.

i recently purchased new luggage. high end brand. when received it had a notice prop 65(not in cali) that product may expose me to chemicals including cadmium that cause cancer. should i return? it was expensive but not worth getting cancer!

No worries...: Here in California, the law requires Cancer Warning signs everywhere because everything we eat, touch, breathe can cause cancer. That is the nature of life, everything on Earth can cause cancer... but the true question is, how likely is it to happen? For example, eating organic berries daily should be fine. Breathing the engine exhaust on the way to the grocer and back is likely more dangerous.
