Pregnant women also have nosebleeds, prevention is to keep the nose moist with saline or rhinaris. Pinch the bottom of your nose for 10 min-elevate head.

Allergies?: Neti pots can 
reduce nasal congestion. Mix ¼ tsp salt w 1 cup lukewarm water. More salt can also be used. Place solution in neti pot. Tilt head ; pour solution into 1 nostril. Blow nose lightly ; spit out any liquid that drains into throat. Repeat on other side. This can be done in the evening before you go to bed ; again in A.M. Get checked for allergies if this doesn't help.

Start simple: First start with a pure antihistamine to see if allergy may be playing a role. Zyrtec, Claritin or alavert are otc and worth trying. If after a few days there is no improvement then try a decongestant as well. If after a few days you are still blocked you should see your family doctor for a prescription nasal spray either a steroid or an antihistamine. If that doesn't help you need to see an ent.

Try saline spray : You can try saline spray or sudafed for a few days. Don't use over the counter nasal decongestant sprays as they are habit forming. If the blockage persists see a doctor.

Allergic workup: Start on OTC antihistamine and Nasal cortisone spray ( Nasacort). I would suggest either Zyrtec or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for your symptoms along with a formal allergic medical evaluation.

Other common symptoms that can go along with a nasal itch could be runny/red eyes and a dry cough.  See if you can find out what might make your symptoms worse, like animals, pollens, perfumes, or dust.  Also, ask your primary care provider.
