Med side effects: Advicor (lovastatin and niacin) contains a statin as well as niacin.  Side-effects include muscular aches (statins),  inflammation (both), lft elevation (both), and flushing (niacin).  Dangerous toxicity is rare, but muscle aches can occur in 10% patients.

Possibly gastritis: The symptoms you are describing could be in keeping with gastritis or less likely esophagitis. Ulcers usually cause vomiting and gall bladder disease pain. Ask you doctor about a PPI or H2 antagonist. You made need an endoscope.

NDPH: New daily persistent headache is the most refractory headache to treat.
New daily persistent headache affects women more than men. 
The symptoms may have migraine features (nausea, vomiting, light sensitivity).
The prognosis: headaches are mostly self-limiting resolving without treatment within several months or resistant to treatment.
See a headache specialist for evaluation and management.

Stomach: This could always be simple gastritis of this is a one time symptom.  That can last for several hours.  Weight loss, ketogenic or otherwise, can make people prone to biliary problems.

Get A 2nd Look: If you are not sure, get a second opinion.  If both doctors tell you the same thing, the it's up to you.  If there is a difference of opinion, then you may need some further investigation/testing.  You might benefit from taking Actigal and a low fat diet.

Metal taste in mouth: Medicines can cause this. Certain foods too. List everthing you eat for two weeks. Have your DDS/DMD help and check out for reflux disease. Take the list to a MD internist to advise you.. My Best BD

See OB-GYN: I am unable to find out what CD5 is, but great pain is never normal.  Please see a gynecologist as soon as possible to help sort this out.  If you are on a medicine which simulates menopause to help with pain from endometriosis or uterine adenomyosis, and this isn't working, your gynecologist may suggest a hysterectomy.
