Antibiotics prescribed will depend on the patient age and underlying cause of the bacterial infection. Antibiotics commonly used may include ciprofloxacin (Cipro), ceftriaxone (Rocephin - only IV or IM), doxycycline (Vibramycin, Doryx), or azithromycin (Zithromax).

Not easy but possibl: I am not sure of your definition of "easy". It takes a technician some training to spot what to look for, &amp; a doctor about 5 yrs of training. The best test is an exam by ur doctor in combo w/ blood tests. The ultrasound will detect somewhere between 70 to 90% of orchitis cases but it depends on the skill &amp; training of whoever is moving the ultrasound probe.
