It means disease-: -process effecting the cartilage just as tendinopathy refers to tendons. The causes for the patella can be from direct trauma, caused by improper alignment,causing multiple minor trauma, or can be drug induced such as multiple steroids injections into the knee.

Maybe: Chondropathy means disease of the cartilage.  There are many, MANY diseases of cartilage.  Might want to ask your doctor to be more specific. What chondropathy of the knee do they think you have?  Then they/we might be better able to answer your question.  Some are chronic.  Some are not.

The floaters gradually get worse, and persist. Sudden increase in floaters may be caused by vitreous separation (detachment) and may associated with a retinal tear or detachment, and an urgent eye exam is advisable.  Thyroid has no relation.

In the absence of a tear, this finding should be asymptomatic and should not require surgery

Not all have it: This is a condition in which in the presence of higher degrees of myopia (not very common) there are changes at the back of the eye near the areas that see fine detail in which the retina may stretch, develop pigment changes and sometimes bleed.  It is very, very uncommon and most myopes, even extreme don't have this.  Any ophthalmologist can find this if present and the best steps can be taken.

Hereditary problem: This is a rare hereditary disease of the back layer of the cornea. It can be progressive in some patients and non-progressive in others. If the impact on vision is mild, nothing needs to be done. If it is severe, surgery may be indicated.
