If it is a strain.: If the groin injury is a muscle strain, massage can be helpful.  However, groin injuries should be evaluated by a doctor to rule out other causes, like hernias.  The most common strain involves the adductor muscles, but any ligament or muscle strain in the groin/hip area can be treated with massage.

i have a pain in my groin area and it iscaused by a wrong position while making squats in the gym. should i stop for a while? could it be a hernia?

Muscle strain/hernia: It could easily be a stringed muscle which would benefit from rest, nsaids, and warm compresses. A hernia, however, is not uncommon and should be ruled out by getting examined by your physician.

Hernia?: The right testicle could be hurting due to a newly formed hernia.  The back could be from a muscle pull.  I recommend seeing your doctor so he/she can do an exam for an inguinal hernia (groin hernia).

Pelvic: Your pelvis is a complex of bone, muscle, ligaments and tendons and all of that has to accomodate your additional baby weight and losens to allow the pelvis to open up more to allow vaginal delivery.  That's what you are hearing.

Groin strain.: It could be a groin strain. They can take a long time to heal. You may need some physical therapy for it.

See  Below: Sounds like a muscular injury.  It's always difficult to tell without an exam, but if you stop the tennis for a bit, it should improve.  If it does not, you need to be examined.

Possible hernia: Sudden groin and/or testicular  pain during or after strenuous activity could be a hernia. A hernia is out pouching of bowel through a tear in the abdominal or inguinal (groin area) wall. It could become a medical emergency. I suggest you see a health care provider ASAP.

Need more info: Could be your hip. If acute onset-was there a precipitating accident. Could be hernia, high lumbar radiculopathy pain. How did it start. You should get evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon, physiatrist, or sports medicine specialist.

i've had a left inguinal hernia for a long time, recently started doing squats; i stopped after noticing pressure feeling on lower abdomen when i bend and slight aches at lower groin and scrotum, can i take prednisolone & anorol to relieve discomfort?

: When an "inguinal hernia" starts to enlarge or provide symptoms as described, it is time to see a surgeon to correct the hernia.  Avoiding a surgical repair can lead to a surgical emergency with strangulation of intestine.
