Probably: He took 3x the dosage you mentioned  (3 tsp= 1 tablespoon) an adult dosage usually starts at 100 -120 pounds,   3 teaspoons would probably be an adult dose  but would need to know the ingredients and the concentration per teaspoon to give you a more exact  answer, .

AURI: If the colds is severe and kid can ' t breath good, try giving 1/2 tsp. 2x a day. No relief, increase dose to 1 tsp. Below 3 years old we do not give rx.

Time & handwashing: In time you will have had enough of the airborne viruses that your immunity builds up & these become less frequent.After a basic number you become resistant to new strains. Good hand washing around diaper changing & working with toys or bottles also helps. Adults put their hands to their face often & transfer viruses off their fingers leading to illness.

See physician today: Without knowing more detail, if your daughter seems to be having trouble breathing she should be examined as soon as possible. Costochondritis would not cause any of her symptoms

However, in general, it's helpful to keep oneself very well hydrated and hot liquids increase blood flow to the areas in contact with the liquid.  Chicken soup is helpful; it has lots of protein.  Rest is important. Tylenol (acetaminophen) can help with fever and pain.

No specific meds: Are required. If you have the flu hydrate well w water, herbal teas, soup or juice. Drink sufficiently to have pale to light yellow urine. You can use pain relievers like tylenol (acetaminophen) or nsaid’s. Rest a lot! in some situations antiviral medications (tamiflu, relenza, flumadine) may be prescribed within the first couple of days of symptoms to hasten healing or they can be used after flu exposure to &gt;&gt;.
