Burning...: Sounds like heartburn, except for the cold part. Is it related to food intake or positional. Is it related to exertion. Any past medical history? See your physician as these symptoms can range from just plain reflux to cardiac angina.

: Do you experience a cold.or hot sensation even though your skin temperature is not hot or cold when you touch it?  I have seen patients whose sensations at times were cold &amp;hot at other times  These were cases of peripheral neuropathy involving the feet,however. Your situation may be caused by neuropathy involving more superficial nerves. I recommend checking for vitamin B12 deficiency &amp; diabetes.

Dry Mouth?: Is it possible that you mouth became dry during your workout? Dry oral tissues have a tendency to feel tender and are more easily irritated. If so, I like a mild over-the-counter rinse called Peroxyl by Colgate. It should help soothe the skin.
