The short answer is: "yes"... but. Coconut oil, a saturated fat, raises your LDL, but it also raises your good cholesterol/HDL. It also seems to have a favorable effect on triglycerides and reduces the plaque-causing small LDL cholesterol particles, and may lower insulin levels. So it is not a pure "black and white" situation. Eaten in moderation, coconut oil can be a good, safe saturated fat to include in your diet

Bad idea: Coconut oil will not do you any good.

Need more info: It's hard to offer advice without visual identification. You could have an allergic problem or something else. My best  advice is to make an appointment with your family physician. If coconut oil was rubbed on your why are you only braking out on the top of your right foot? Something is not right.

No: So long as a skin lesion resolves in a tiely fashion and does not recur there is no concern about serious pathology.

Olive oil.: While olive oil is one of the healthier oils as far as the proportions of healthy fasts versus unhealthy fats, it's still an oil, with 18 grams of fat per tablespoon, and could raise your LDL and triglycerides if you use too much.  That being said, an LDL of 106 is still pretty good.  But try to limit your use of oil in general.

Most fixed: Of all the lipoprotein fractions, HDL seems to be the most "fixed" by genetics and the most difficult to alter by behavioral changes. The things you have done, especially niacin and lowering triglycerides, should have the most effect. Physical activity, ideal weight maintenance, and, maybe a glass of red wine a day, might also be of help. Sante!

Doubt relationship: You're clearly interested in promoting your health. That's awsome. These blood levels actually fluctuate wildly even from day to day though this fact isn't well-publicized. do fish oil capsules lower ldl?

May increase LDL: Prescription fish oil (lovaza) is indicated for treatment of high triglyceride, but in doing so it actually raises the LDL a bit. Taking it as a supplement (smaller dose--1/4 of dose) may not do much at all in term of changing the lipid profile.
So, if u need to lower ldl, fish oil is not the way to go. Consult doc. Good luck.

Fish oil.: What's the rest of your lipid profile look like.  While fish oil is pretty good at raising the HDL and lowering the triglycerides, its effect on LDL is marginal.  Your LDL is too high, so merely supplementing fish oil may not be the right solution to your cholesterol woes, but we'd really need to see the whole cholesterol profile to really know what would be best.

Yes, but not bad 4 u: Fish oil may raise LDL by 5-10% yet reduces risk of heart disease. This is because more important than total LDL is the number of LDL particles & their density.
