Peeling: It is possible that there is some fungal component ( tinea pedis and athlete's foot are the same thing ) , but a sample of the skin should be sent to a lab for culture and identification.  See your podiatrist or a dermatologist .

what creams help treat ringworm infection, my dr gave me a steroid cream called triamcinolone acetonide ointment usp 0.1% it's made it worse i bought equates athletes foot cream with clotrimazole usp 1% to put on it. will it help???

Highly not advised!: If what you have is not herpes, then you are ok.However, if you think it's herpes, watch out!the topical you are using has an antifungal agent and a steroid that suppresses the immune system. You have a viral infection. As a result, your lesions, despite it feeling better in the short run, will soon get worse.  See you doctor in order to get a prescription for an antiviral agent  like valacyclovir.
