Perhaps you : Have an entrapped nerve? Sometimes itching can be close to numbness or tingling.....Is their a rash? Any skin discoloration? Peeling skin?

Clotrimoxazole: In all probability this should not be a problem, but is usually unnecessary and the question then becomes, are you having difficulty clearing a chronic skin superficial fungus infection? If so, it would be a good idea to see a dermatologist.  Good luck.

Yes: This could be intertrigo and yeast is common on this instance. Lotrimin (clotrimazole) can work on yeast. It could be combined with diaper cream. If resistant see dermatologist for prescription cream based on diagnosis. In resistant cases oral medications may be necessary.
