See neurologist: That is likely from some damage to the nerves innervating that area of the head.  You need to see a doctor preferably a neurologist.

Cannot: think of a reason why not.....these products are basically electrolyte solutions and there are many brands available now!

Ear pain: Greetings. Jumping off a cliff? Hopefully into water. Regardless, see your doctor promptly. An eardrum perforation or worse could have happened. Use better judgement. Sounds dangerous and could be life threatening.

If it happens right before you wake up, it's callled a "hypnopompic "experience..It is a very common phenomenon ...It's like semi-waking dream...Unless it really bothers you or inhibits your sleep, nothing needs to be done...Avoid high stimulation before you go to bed...If you are concerned...See your family doc and possible referral for a sleep study.

Pretty sure it is.: I am pretty sure it wouldn't make anyone feel good to have all of that infecting you at once. I hope the docs are able to remove it all from you. It's like a curse that needs antibiotics.
