Be seen: You could just be misaligned and a visit with a chiropractor can help. It is always a concern when there is pain with clicking and popping and being evaluated will be very beneficial. You may want to be seen by both your physician and a chiropractor or massage therapist or acupuncturist... (not all of them- those are just resources for you).

Sacroiliac joint: A female teenager with a chronically pained hip region and a &quot;snapping&quot; sound emanating from that region needs to be checked for pelvic joint (sacroiliac joint) subluxation.  The lumbar spine does not snap, but the sacroiliac joint does.  See an osteopath for a diagnosis.  Check the brighton criteria to see if you have benign joint hypermobility syndrome.

Who knows? : Only you can tell if it's urgent. These symptoms are not specific of anything.   You are the one who's daily life is affected. Only you can determine if it's worth interrupting your busy life to be evaluated.

Hip pain: This is a surgical procedure - while this is done in the hope of improving function and reducing or eliminating pain- surgery is never 100% - you are always taking a risk. Have you looked into regenerative procedures in conjunction - using stem cells from your bone marrow and PRP&gt;

MRI : It sounds like it is probably  a variant of a "sciatica" which is an irritation of a nerve in the back causing symptoms down the leg (although there are other possibilities as well).  It is not so much you initially need to see a spine specialist, but rather probably need an MRI to establish the diagnosis, which could potentially be ordered through your primary care doctor.

Look up: "Snapping Hip Syndrome"..Web M.D. one source. 
Sometimes called "Dancer's Hip" it is caused by the movement of tendons over bone when you are STRETCHING...I do not understand which Doctors you have seen but a good Orthopedist or Physical Medicine Physician (Physiatrist)  can diagnose and give you an exercise program to reduce the discomfort!

Not bad: Clicking of the knees and hip can be due to a variety of issues depending upon the body region. Most often, it is benign, though anyone experiencing discomfort should see a sports medicine physician. You might not be able to prevent the clicking, but a good exercise program balancing flexibility, strength and proper nutrition should help prevent injury.

Positioning: This is probably related to putting yourself into positions you are not used to.  Try more comfortable positions...Lying on your side, perhaps on top, or "doggie".  These may not cause you to stretch you his as much.  Then begin a flexibility program to slowly get to positions you prefer.

: I don't know if you can.  The noise is most likely harmless and could be caused by motions of ligaments or tendons moving over a bony protrusion with no pathology being present. If you have associated hip pain, then an inflammatory problem would be a likely cause of the clicking sound.  An orthopedic surgeon can advise you further.
