Check the dose?: It is not uncommon to have bruises when use heparin, i think you should checked with your dr to adjust the dose, or check your blood to see if you have any other factors could do that?

Clexane: Clexane (known as Lovenox in the U.S.) is the brand name for enoxaparin. This medication is commonly used during pregnancy. Some doctors will switch back to unfractionated Heparin close to delivery since Heparin has a completely effective antidote, while enoxaparin's antidote is less reliable. Obviously, the OB doesn't want anyone to bleed excessively during delivery.

Probably OK: You are probably OK. The primary reason in blood draws that sometimes blood comes out quickly like flowing water and other times slowly like syrup has to do with the size of the vein and the size of the needle. Big vein &amp; big needle the blood flows like water. Venous blood - that's the blood you want them to take - is dark. Enbrel (etanercept) could effect your platelet count.

Stop the Aspirin: Hold off the aspirin, it has not been shown to significantly reduce risk of a deep vein thrombosis, but will cause you to bleed and bruise. At 26 your low risk anyway. The bruising should just absorb. Follow up with your surgeon.

Always possible: Pregnancy is actually a high risk situation regardless of if you are on anticoagulation. Add that into the mix and there are even higher risks. I am sure your OB is comfortable with dealing with that added complication, otherwise, he will refer you to a different specialist.

Portacath infusaport: I would suggest that you have the nurse attempt the use of cathflo, also known as tissue plasminogen activator. Often the ports stop working due to some small clots inside the port, and this medication often dissolves the clot & allows the port to start working again. If this does not solve the problem, then get a venogram through the port to trouble shoot the problem . . . Usually it can be fixed.
