: Yes, somewhat typical with individual differences in reporting. A variety of other heart, lung and/or esophageal conditions other than a heart attack may behave in a similar ways and that is where workup is many times needed.

Possibly: Problems like these can only be correctly handled by your doctor in person.  He/she needs to listen to you, perform an examination and possibly run labs or other tests. That's the only way he/she can find out what's going on and what to do about it.

Defibrillation: Will the defibrillation cause long term damage to the heart? No.  The more pressing question is: Why did he require defibrillation in the first place?….the answer to that is the key to his long term health.  What kind of arrhythmia did he have and why?

Chest pain: Would be extremely rare for a woman at age 25 to have heart attack due to the protective benefit of estrogen. Would note when you have discomfort, as timing and association with activities may lead toward the cause. Certainly remembering what makes the pain worse is important as well, such as after a meal suggesting possible esophageal source. Is there a cough or shortness of breath with pain?

could plavix (clopidogrel) make your heart flutter? i am a 45 year old female and one month ago had an asd clouser done. i noticed every so often i would have a feeling of fluttering in my heart, at fist thought it was my heart getting used to the device.

Although : Although there have been postmarketing reports of Plavix (clopidogrel) causing arrhythmia, a mechanism for this has not been established.

The likelihood of having fluttering as a result of Plavix (clopidogrel) therapy is small, and stopping the Plavix (clopidogrel) could significantly increase your risk of stroke.  ASD closure has been advocated by some as a way to decrease the risk of arrhythmias.  However, new arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, can occur in patients following ASD closure.

I would urge you to resume the Plavix (clopidogrel) and discuss your concerns with your doctor.

Could be: Related to your anemia.  It depends on how low your iron stores are.  Hopefully they have performed a pelvic ultrasound to help diagose what is occuring.  You possibly will need iron infusions, depending on how low your iron levels are.  Make sure to take your iron medication with orange juice to help the absorption.  Good luck!

Heart aware: Some people are more heart aware than others. Most people do not feel their heart in their chest unless they are lying down on the left side. It may be normal for you but there are a few abnormalities that could make this a more prominent symptom for you. It would be worth your time to seek an evaluation by a health care provider to exclude anything significant being wrong. Reassuring too.

Anxiety : You could be having an anxiety attack , however , I highly suggest calling someone to take you to the ER or Urgent care for Evaluation . Have you had too much caffeine ? Have you taken any Meds or drugs you are not supposed to take ? Have you drank any substances you are not allowed at your age to have . Just to be on the safe side , get checked out ASAP
