Part of life: Yeast is around us in the environment & by later infancy at least 5% of the dry weight of poo is yeast. The skin surface is resistant to yeast unless irritated or over hydrated ( like wearing diapers ). The yeast creates a rash when it takes the opportunity of a simple exposure & sets up housekeeping on irritated skin.Improvement  with rx occurs within days.

If it is a fungus: An antifungal cream should be helpful. If she has been treating for a while - then try changing medications or perhaps the diagnosis is incorrect.

Skin peeling: Lots of different causes of skin peeling, including: 
- viral illness/rash
- drug reaction/rash
- vitamin deficiency (not usually sudden onset) 
- fungal skin infections
- other rare dermatologic conditions 
etc. 
Best to see a dermatologist if it doesn't improve in a week.

You : You may be dealing with an allergy/contact dermatitis. Consider any new lotions, soaps, or products you are using in your private area. Also a new laundry detergent could be to blame. Try over the counter Hydrocortisone cream to the outside genital area a few times a day. Otherwise follow up with your doctor.

Rash: Just to be on the safe side i would get a throat culture to be certain that the rash is not scarlet fever .Salt water nose drops can be used for your nasal drainage.

i visited my dermatologist 1 month ago for a fungal skin rash and was given  clindamycin  phosphate topical lotion. when will the rash  clear up?

Rash: Clindamycin does not kill fungus. One month is long enough. Call the dermatologist and tell them you are not improving.
