Many possibilities: A lump under the skin could be as a result of different reasons of which could include an ingrown hair, lipoma, ganglion, abscess, or an inflamed lymph node.  Have it evaluated by your physician to get the appropriate treatment.

Besides bleeding, a head injury that causes loss of consciousness, vomiting, unequal pupils, loss of balance, or unusual behavior, also requires a visit to the pediatrician.

See PCP.: It could be an infected sebaceous gland. Have your pcp take a look and if needed get a biopsy. It doesn't sound like anything serious, but it would make you feel better to have it checked.
