Blood: When blood is coming out it would be hard to tell that there is also a clear liquid. If you are experiencing something coming out of your vagina that does not usually come out each month then it probably is not normal and testing is needed.

There are various: vaginal secretions, tissues and blood that are released. The fact that you are having your period doesn't mean that there can't be other normal  vaginal secretions still occurring. Take care.

No, not to worry.: If you have a change in color, texture, odor or amount of vaginal discharge ; problems such as pain, itching burning with urination or sex or redness/swelling  then it is best to see your gynecologist for evaluation ; accurate assessment.

Endometriosis: Since you have had a scan i would assume you are being followed by a physician. Abnormal uterine bleeding and thickened endometrium can be caused by endometriosis. I would suggest following up with your physician at your earliest convenience.

Fluid: It is true that fluid retention caused by hormonal changes in the week before the menstrual period commonly occurs, but I have never heard of that affecting the tongue. Careful salt restriction the week before your period is due may alleviate your symptom.

Bacterial vaginosis?: The only way to really know would be to go in and get tested. Bacterial vaginosis is often worse during and after a period. This would be high on my list as a possible cause.

Probably not: The fist day of the period is considered the fist day of the cycle.  Ovulation usually occurs mid-cycle, which would be around day 14 for those who have a 28 day cycle.  When the cervical mucus is stretchy that usually means you are ovulating and intercourse at that time could result in a pregnancy.

Heavy periods: There are multiple options for heavy periods. Hormonal treatments such as birth control pills, Progesterone treatments and the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud are effective reversible treatments that will help many people. There is also a drug called Lysteda that contains no hormones which will help others. If you are done having children discuss the option of an endometrial ablation. In some cases a hysterectomy will.

May not ovary: Maybe it is.  Which side is it on? On right side, you have your appendix, on the left, your colon. Could be a kidney stone in a ureter...Ultrasound two years ago doesn't mean same today. Worth having an evaluation.
