is it normal to have any type of discharge at end of withdrawl bleeding on placebo pills ?

Period and Placebo: Yes one can continue with a vaginal discharge, even at the end of the 4th week, and even with  starting the Birth Control pills again with the first week. The main advice is to continue the pills without missing.

missed two bcps, but followed instructions. withdrawal bleeding was regular flow, but past week has been brown discharge, hasn't stopped. normal?

Probably nothing: The type of discharge described is quite non-specific.  It could be related to residual menstrual flow.  If this is a consistent symptom, follow up with ob/gyn is recommended.

i had a c-section in nov. got the paraguard in jan. i've had random bleeding and a thick, stringy  yellowish/clear discharge. when will this end?

See your gyn: To make sure u do not have an infection, bleeding and discharge are common side effects of iuds but u need to make sure  u do not have an abnormal infection, and the iud is in the right place and u have no fragments of retained tissue from your delivery, u need an exam , cultures and an ultrasound.

Light periods : Light periods are not a cause for concern. Light periods are much preferable to heavy and painful ones.

: It would be unusual. Likely not going to happen.

Accepted Answer

Pregnancy : Implantation bleeding exclusively occurs if you are pregnant.  If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available  at any pharmacy.  This is how you tell the difference.

Very different.: Withdrawal bleeding refers to bleeding after
withdrawal of hormones, like the end of a
oral contraceptive cycle. 

Implantation bleeding refers to the early invasion of the uterine lining by an early pregnancy.

is it possible for me to experience withdrawal bleeding and implantation bleeding at the same time?

Accepted Answer

No: That is not possible, by definition. It would be like asking, "Can I be pregnant and not pregnant at the same time?" They have opposite definitions. Women on hormonal birth control pills who get withdrawal bleeding each cycle are not pregnant. If they stop having withdrawal periods when they should have them, they do a home pregnancy test. There is no need to think about "implantation bleeding."

: It means your period comes early this month after taking plan B. Take care.

i had unprotected sex on 23rd feb,too pill on the same day, withdrawal bleeding happened after 7days .now again i had unprotected sex and it's 10th day after withdrawal bleeding ,if i take pill today will it avoid preganamacy?

: Taking an emergency contraceptive pill on Feb 23, with subsequent withdrawal bleeding may occur normally just from the "morning after" pill taken, but is no guarantee about preventing pregnancy. Taking another "morning after pill" may not be effective either. If your period is delayed, get a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy.  Ask your gyn provider about low dose oral BCP's.
