Normal discharge: The vagina does a very good job of self-cleaning/maintenance.  After your period, or anytime it needs it, mucus glands in the vagina activate and may produce a little discharge. A clear watery discharge is often more noticeable at mid-cycle/ovulation and aids egg fertilization. Unless the discharge is yellow/green/thick/curd-like/irritataing/itchy/odorous/bloody it can be considered normal:)

Discharge: Vaginal discharge requires an examination to determine the cause and treatment. Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause and often has a vaginal odor. Vaginal itching can be a sign of a yeast infection. Sometimes vaginal discharge can be a sign of a sexual transmitted infection. Testing is important to determine the treatment and keep you and your partner safe.

Many possibilities.: Hormone levels change affecting quantity and qualities of discharge. Odorless, clear discharge is rarely worrisome. Hours after sex, semen and natural lubrication may gush out.Around ovulation, clear discharge increases, becoming thick and stringy to improve sperm movement. Fertility is highest about halfway between periods so conception during menstruation is unlikely but possible. Do a test.

Discharge: I wouldn't make that assumption.  I would get checked for an infection first.  The perimenopause is more likely to cause irregular periods, though at 47 you are likely perimenopausal.  The perimenopause is the 5-7 years before the true menopause occurs.  Average age of menopause is 51 years 3 months.

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation.

Could be normal: Most women produce more mucus after their menstrual cycle. The increase coincides with ovulation around day 14 give or take a few days. If the clear discharge is not smelly, itchy, discolored , or irritating don't worry.
