how many hours apart can you drink the equate day time cold medicine and the night time cold and flu medicine and i had another question about another medicine it was about the claritin medication it was how many of those pills can you take in a day ?

Hard to guess: Claritin (loratadine) is a once-a-day medication, and does wear off somewhat by night time. Regarding cold medications for example... if Nyquil, with its own antihistamine, is taken at night time, a person would be taking 2 antihistamines, which may or may not be a problem. Each person is different. His doctor can evaluate to see if there anything serious going on.

?: Similasan is herbal used by homeopath, it contains senega which loosens mucus through irritation of mucus membranes, thus more mucus is produced , hence expectorated,  claritin (loratadine) though decreases secretions and not meant to be an expectorant  rather  at times it works as a cough suppressant, at any  rate if you have cold symptoms and are in doubt, rest,  fluids and either medicine would help,

For allergies: Claritin (loratadine) is an antihistamine that's used to treat allergic rhinitis (hay fever). It won't treat cold symptoms. For colds you need decongestants for nasal/sinus congestion, Guaifenesin and/or dextromethorphan for cough, and throat lozenges for sore throat.

Yes: The pseudophed may show up as amphetamine but if sent for a GC/LC  MS confirmation it will show that it is pseudophed not other amphetamines

Better not: it's only 4 hours apart, and the regular dose is every 24 hours, more than that should be directed by a physician. For your cold symptoms you can try decongestants, if not contraindicated as if having high blood pressure, and pain killers as acetaminophen, in addition to rest fluids, salt water gargles and saline nasal washes, if no improvement, see your doctor, good luck

Virus vs side effect: Time will tell. Infection, side effect or menopause; but most likely would be viral infection.  Chills would be an unusual side effect for Claritin (loratadine) d, but if you aren't sick, just don't take any more Claritin (loratadine) d and see if it goes away. After a few days, you could take one again and see if it recurs. That's how to figure out if it is a side effect when the symptoms are not dangerous.
