Chronic ear infectio: If there is drainage there is probably a perforation of the ear drum due to a chronic ear infection.The ent surgeon who did the tonsillectomy should check the ear.Pain can be referred but drainage is not normal.

Itchy throat: If you were talking loudly at work, you may have strained your vocal cords, resulting in throat soreness.  Drink plenty of fluids. You might as well try vitamin C and antioxidants. Gargle with Salt Water, and take pain medication if you'd like. Unlikely to be cancer if there are no others symptoms.

Possible allergy : Allergies produce mucus in our nasal passages that can cause constant swallowing of mucus. Some people respond to oral antihistamines as temporary relief, however, nasal steroid sprays is used to help treat this. Evaluation by your doctor and possible tests can be done to see if this is from allergies.
