my forearm has a sore spot that has been there for 3 days.  i slept on my arm and that caused it.  i am getting some intermittent shooting pains also?

? bone bruise?: You may have a small bruise under the lining around the bone (periosteum), which can ache for several days. Advil (ibuprofen) and/or cold compresses should help with discomfort. If persists beyond 7-10 days, should get it checked by your dr / urgent care / orthopedist, but will likely resolve in few days.

Forearm bruise: Many things come to mind, from traumatic injury to infection to medication effect such as blood thinners. For peace of mind, have it looked at.

Odd position: Many times when tired we sleep in unusual positions.  Most likely you slept with the arm pinched for a long time causing psi in the morning.  Consult a physician if the symptoms do not resolve quickly.

No...: Gallstones and/or gallbladder problems cause abdominal pain and GI distress including nausea, vomiting, bloating and bowel changes.

See your doc: difficult to say what the cause is without additional hx and time sequence of lesion and pain. Suggest you see your doc for further eval and possible tx, esp if problem has been going on for a few weeks or more.

Is it nerve pain?: The first thing to do is figure out where the pain is - soft tissues, bone, joint, nerve pain that radiates through the whole arm? With that information it's easier to figure out the source of the pain. It's not uncommon for a person in her 40s to have nerve impingement. It could be a minor irritation or the start of something more serious. It's best to have a doctor evaluate you.
