our grandson has been doctoring for  over a month with mayo at rochester, mn  he has had every test they can come up with.  help first they thought appendix, then they thought some thing with the liver. it is so maddening that they just keep pushing him

can someone recommend a doctor/specialist in rochester, ny area for adrenal fatigue for my 24 yr old daughter? she thinks she has it.

Adrenal fatigue??: What does that mean?? She should see a top notch endocrinologist. There is a good University medical center in Rochester. Otherwise, go to Buffalo or Syracuse or Albany or NYC. Get her seen and evaluated by someone good.

chloe has bacterial pneumonia. meant to have 5.25mls twice a day for 2 wks. seems good but realized after a week i was giving 2.25mls. what do i do?

No standard rules: These situations are a judgement call. Usually, if a patient was taking half the recommended dose of antibiotics and her symptoms were clearing up, then that lower dose was probably adequate for her illness. If so, one can increase to the recommended dose for the second week.  If in the middle of the second week, some of her symptoms are still present, her doctor might want to re-examine her.

my lipid profile after 13hrs fasting. serum chol=127mg/dl, serum triglyceride=57, serum hdl choles.=35, serum ldl chloes.=81, vldl chole=11. my bmi 22-23. kindly advise is that fine?if i want to gain some weight  can i? what about fat consumption?

Weight is fine: Your weight is fine. Do not be in a hurry to gain weight. As you grow older you will gain weight and then fondly look back at this time when you could eat and not gain weight. Exercise to gain muscle mass, rather than trying to put on fat. Exercise will also increase you HDL, the good cholesterol, which is on the low side.

Complications: Untreated, chron's disease can cause obstructions, which can lead to dehydration & death. Treated & controlled, with current regimines, it is very manageable & should not lead to any increased mortality.

They can steer you in the right direction based on your age and current health. And i like doing lots of different things which is why i choose family medicine, which also allows me the opportunity to care for the whole family, from cradle to grave as we say.
