Hmmm.: Many things cause dizziness. The sensation that things are moving further away is uncommon. It is seen with certain types of migraine (often referred to as alice in wonderland migraine) and with some focal seizures. (involving the part of the brain that processes vision.).

Don't know: Lots of things can make one dizzy and lightheaded. Iron deficincy anemia is a common cause. Medication side effects, anxiety with hyperventilation, inner ear problems are common as well. Antidepressants??: From your description, it appears that you have stopped or ran out of an ssri ( antidepressant/anxiety modulator medications)... These are common symptoms in that situation.  If that is the case then please get back on your meds and consult your dr. If not then i suggest you see  your physician for further evaluation to find out the underlying cause.
