If you eat late at night, you could be getting chest pain from heartburn but this would not explain the back pain.  What type of work do you do? Perhaps you are working to hard.  Get a massage or see a physical therapist.  Neck film may help.

Can be: Coughing profusely certainly can cause some pain in chest in back. If you feel it is heart in nature, please get it checked out. However, sometimes coughing can just cause sore muscles and joint aches from the constant chest expansion they are not used to. It can also cause herniated discs strangely enough, so if you have radiating pain, tell your doc.

If one has heart disease, or a family history of it; or one has diabetes or high cholesterol, or there is trouble breathing; or nausea with tightness inside the chest; or one feels a sense of doom, that something bad might happen, etc..., then a trip to the E.R. Is a good idea.
