The : The manufacturer of vitex chasteberry suggests that it can regular periods.  There are no scientific studies that demonstrate that it is effective in regulating periods however.  Please call your local poison center and read them the ingredients from your herbal medications and be sure that they are safe to take together.  Let them know any other medications you are on. Not much: Vitex has been used in greece for many years, but there is no scientific data to establish it's reliability. Diet, exercise and weight loss can help. Metformin is a more scientific and well studied option. It can help noralize menses and even induce fertility in many women, discuss w/your ob/gyn. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet.

- diet, exercise, weight loss
- Clomiphene citrate
- letrozole
- gonadotropins
- ivf
- ovarian drilling
- +/- glucophage

use of herbs have not undergone fda testing such as the management options above.  Best to consult with gyn or infertility specialist.

Hard to say: Over the counter herbal products create some challenges. Each company has a different quality of product. Each product has a different amount of the active ingredients. The type of product (capsule, tincture, etc) are quite different. In general the dosing of such products is not as dangerous in terms of overdose as they are often taking for effect. Agnus castus is "relatively" safe, so likely ok.
