Rarely: Color in contact lenses for cosmetic purposes does not change the vision.  There are a few deeper tinted lenses for specific purposes which can change the vision but that would either be the purpose of the lens or something the ophthalmologist who prescribed the lens would outline for you.

Possibly: It is hard to say without a history and exam.  You may have been undergoing gradual changes for awhile, but had not noticed until now.  Had you had any trauma or anything accidentally getting into your eyes- dust, cleansers, etc.?  I would see an eye doctor asap to avoid the vision getting worse.

This problem, however, can be fixed with patching the normal eye, glasses and/or surgery. If both eyes are involved, the stronger eye will dominate. In either case, consult your ohpthalmologist.
