The : The chance would be very, very low. If a woman had sexual intercourse on the last day of her period, she ovulated fairly early and still had live, motile sperm in her body, than she could become pregnant.

Only 1 way to know : The only way to know is to try. Ovulation is calculated by subtracting 14 days from the date you expect to have your next period. Not by counting forward. Example-- if your periods come every 30 days then subtract 14 and you would be ovulating 16 days after your period. Good luck.

Not likely: It would be extremely unlikely for you to conceive as a result of unprotected sex on the first day of your period unless you had a very disordered ovulation cycle. That said, you should not rely on withdrawal during the unsafe portions of your cycle. Pre-ejaculate fluid (pre-come) contains sperm and can get you pregnant.

Even : Even though pregnancy is always possible with unprotected sex, it is much, much less likely during the beginning of your period, so chances are pretty slim.

Yes: Pregnancy is possible on any day of a cycle including during menses. It is rare &amp; more likely for those with an irregular pattern of egg release, but it happens. If you have a predictable 29 day pattern it is very unlikely, but like many things in life surprises happen. What you do is really up to you.

Possibly yes: There can be different causes for irregular periods, but a common cause is anovulation, meaning that the ovary does not release an egg each time. When there is no egg present, a pregnancy cannot happens, so if you only ovulate every few months, it will likely be harder to get pregnant.  You could ask your Dr about keeping a basal body temperature chart to help guide with most fertile times

Hard to guess: It can be hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some of the symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women.  A home urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result if done correctly.  One can test about 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period.

Yes and Yes: Periods can definitely be affected by stress and tension. This also means that the day of ovulation can change and this means you are not sure when you ovulate and can get pregnant.
