It is safe unless you're allergic to compositae (the botanical family it belongs to.).

It is suggested that German Chamomile and St. John's Wort should not be taken at the same time. If they are used together and sedation increases to an unsafe level, either German Chamomile or St. John's wort or both may need to be stopped.

It can be used to v abdominal cramps, improve pms/ menstrual cramps, to help abort migraine headaches (if used early on) & to v restlessness associated w sleep. It can v mild anxiety. It has been used topically for burns. It can cause drowsiness or allergic reactions (ragweed)it is not recommended during pregnancy or if taking blood thinning medications.
