Herniated disc: The pain from a herniated disc in the neck will improve with anti-inflammatory medication, muscle relaxers, neck exercises, and physical therapy. Cervical traction can reduce the radiating arm pain. Cortisone injections and nerve blocks can reduce neck and arm pain also. A neck brace reduces range of motion and often increases the pain. The pain should resolve within six weeks. See a neurosurgeon.

Precautions: You need to talk with your doctor -- is it a primary or secondary hypertension, a cervical spine condition may effect blood pressure too -- generally avoid heavy weight lifting but walking exercise and swimming is good for you.

No, see doctor: The cervix doesn't really have a role in period bleeding or abnormal bleeding - that comes from uterine issues like fibroids or adenomyosis, or hormonal causes. The cervix can bleed from trauma or lesions in the cervix or cervical cancer, but it is not period bleeding. If you have had 4 episodes of bleeding in 8 weeks, you need to see a doctor for evaluation and treatment options.

When it comes to spine conditions that involve treatment of the bone, like fusions and disk replacement, i feel our orthopaedic background in bone healing, fixation techniques and joint replacement is superior.

Spine specialist: Spine specislist.... Spinal surgeon. I think that the initial evaluation should begin with your family doctor. There are many causes of neck pain. Once the correct diagnosis is established then if needed you will be referred to the appropriate specialist.

Depends: If the problem is pressure on the spinal cord, surgery may be the best solution. When there is pressure on the nerves, other measures (therapy, exercise, medication) are often effective. If you have neck pain without nerve problems, surgery is usually not helpful.
