Good question: but we don't know where's the blood coming from, it might be your own genital tract not the placenta, at any rate you need to ask your obstetrician, and I believe no harm of getting another rhogam shot, have a safe pregnancy and a healthy baby

Yes: Transvaginal cerclages can fail for many different reasons. These types of procedures are reserved for women that have been diagnosed with cervical insufficiency.  If you have experienced a pregnancy loss in the second trimester and if you have failed a transvaginal cerclage discuss with your doctor the possibiity of a pre-conceptual transabdominal cerclage (tac) for the next pregnancy.

Depends...: There are several different ways to do a cerclage.  Some take longer than others.  It also depends on your gestational age and how dilated your cervix is.  In general it's a short procedure that takes 15-30 minutes.  Best wishes!

Cerclage: It will depend on how far dilated your cervix is after the stitch is removed. I have removed cerclage stitches and had patients deliver that same day. I have also had patients deliver a week or more after. It really depends on where you are after the cerclage comes out.

Debatable: It is debatable whether cerclages really make a difference in outcome.  In this country they are offered to women who have a history of incompetent cervix or show signs of early opening of the cervix before 22 weeks.  You may be a candidate for Progesterone treatment either vaginally or as an injection.
