Discontinuation Sx: Stopping citalopram or other ssri medication suddenly can result in discontinuation symptoms including dizziness, lethargy, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, fever, sweating, chills. Incomnia, myalgias, parasthesias, electric shock-like sensations, anxiety, agitation, crying, irritability, confusion, slowed thinking, etc. You might look for other causes of burning tongue and mouth scars.

i was given 10 mg celexa for anxiety, i felt i was a bit better , less heart palpitations and intrusive thoughts, then i started taking estradiol 1mg and i felt like i had more anxiety, can this be the case? or is it just the celexa causing it?

: You take estradiol at your age so I guess you have pre or post menopausal syndrome. This syndrome can also cause the symptoms resembling to anxiety disorder.
You need to talk to your primary doctor to decide what medication should be stopped.

Especially: Celexa and lexapro. Viibryd (vilazodone hydrochloride) can interact with drugs that are metabolized through the cytochrome p450 3a4 enzyme system so a little bit more caution has to be taken with that and should be addressed with your psychiatrist.
