Depends: Parakeratosis in the esophageal lining occurs in response to some irritant. If the irritant is remove, it is likely to go away and the normal lining to regenerate.

Alcohol injections: Have a podiatrist inject 4% alcohol under the lesion. This will destroy the central core of the porokeratosis after multiple injections.  Get injections weekly or bi-weekly up to 7 shots which is the protocol.  The shots work great!

Good advice: The advice you had is exactly what most experts recommend. LSIL (low grade squamous epithelial lesion) has almost no chance of progressing to cancer, and indeed is often associated with low risk (non cancer causing) types of HPV. It usually clears up entirely within a few months, so your next Pap at 6 months is likely to be normal.

Wart : The pathology report is suggestive of a wart. There should be some kiolocytosis in the wart .  Hyperkeratosis from chronic rubbing can produce a similar pathology.

Could be: checked with  a microscope in the doctor's office (colposcope) and possible biopsies.  If smoker, stop, if have not received HPV vaccine, you should.
