Heart disease: Intestinal gas from air swallowing is a common cause of chest discomfort.  It can be confused with cardiac related discomfort.

GI Problems common: In your age group, chest pain is often due to gastrointestinal problems (heartburn), often due to gastroesophageal reflux disease  (gerd).  Heart problems are more rare in young people.  However, your doctor should be consulted because a careful medical evaluation should be able to clarify the cause of your symptoms.

: Given your young age and gender, it is unlikely to be a significant cardiac problem. However your symptoms warrant an evaluation by your physician, preferably the same physician who examined you in the past.

Symptom: Such symptoms can be caused by other things than heart. Esophageal spasm, gastrointestinal gas and even diaphragmatic spasm can cause such a symptom, you might discuss further with your Doc to see what he/she thinks it is.

Would be rare: Common things are common and rare things are rare. It would be extremely uncommon for you to have a heart attack at 22 that has lasted for "days" and still be alive.It is VERY common to have anxiety that leads you to believe this and have the symptoms you describe. You do need to see your doctor to make sure no medical conditions causing your anxiety and for referral to a psychologist who can help

Gas?: Could be gas pains, but you may want your PCP to refer you to a cardiologist for stress testing and ECHO and EKG just to be sure your heart is fine.

Panic : Panic anxiety (which is not the same as ordinary anxiety) can cause chest pain, can increase blood pressure, and can make people very unhappy.  Panic often happens together  with "atypical depression"  which includes a more than usual senstivity to rejections, including to serious rejections like a separation.  If this sounds familiar, you might track down a first rate psychiatrist and discuss it with him or her.  Ssri anti-depressants can be helpful for both syndromes, but are often supplemented by Clonazepam for panic (taken every 12 hours, but not taken as needed), and good psychotherapy is always important.
