Several things: There are plenty of topical creams and gels that you can get over the counter at any pharmacy or supermarket.  Proper hygiene and ensuring the places you bath or shower are clear of fungus are important.  More recently, companies are promoting ultra violet lights that go into your shoes and kill various types of fungus.

Athlete's foot?: You may have athlete's foot (tinea pedis). It can be a chronic, recurring condition that gets worse in warm or humid climates. Athletes Foot: More then likely it is athletes foot which is a form of skin fungus.  Try using an antifungal cream.  Using antifungal powders in your shoes and changing sock twice a day can help with moisture.

Probably not.: Unless there were dozens of insect bites located specifically on the hands and feet, it would be very unusual for a typical insect bite to trigger the hands and feet to peel. More likely is post-streptococcal infection or something called "hand-foot-mouth disease". Dyshidrosis is a skin condition that can cause peeling of hands and feet--typically associated with sweaty palms and feet that itch.

Topical antifungals: Depending on the type of fungus that is present, there are a variety of topical antifungals.  Sometimes they infect the palms as well as the plantar surface of the feet.  There are also other non-medication strategys to use like leather shoes, drying the shoes out for 24 hours before wearing again, cotton socks to wick perspiration and a variety of powders as well.

STD is unlikely: Non-STD problems are much more likely. The two STD related problems that might cause this are syphilis and a condition called keratoderma blennorrhagica. KB is a rash that can occur with reactive arthrtis, which can be triggered by chlamydia or gonorrhea. Syphilis and RA both are rare in women in the US. In any case, see your doctor for professional evaluation. Good luck!

Smelly feet, peeling: &amp; fungus.  You probably need an anti-fungal and need to see your doc for and exam. Peeling MAY be because oil in your body is too low.  Good oils such as coconut and olive oil in your diet may help.  Change socks once or twice daily.  Put feet in direct sunlight when possible.  Peace and good health.

Tinea pedis: See a physician as it is difficult to diagnose skin lesions without an exam. My guess is  tinea  pedis, a fungal infection of the feet. It causes an itchy, red, often rash in these warm, moist areas of your body.
Jock itch gets its name because it is common in people who sweat a lot, as do athletes. It usually respond to topical anti fungals cream.
