Mostly, people underestimate the fluid loss from diarrhea. If vomiting is making it impossible to hold down fluids or you have persistent fevers see a doctor or go to the ER. Your normally floating brain is sagging on its suspensory ligaments which hurts.

Avoid harsh roughage,drink room temperature fluids and take kaopectate (kaolin and pectin) as needed. Call your physician if symptoms persist or worsen.
